How the tournament goes

  1. Teams from everyone who signs up

Players sign up with your link and pick their skill: Casual, Keen or Competitive. Deal makes 8 teams of 5 and shares out the Competitive players, so every team has a chance.

Then each player’s badge turns over to show their team, with their teammates under it.

Maya’s phone. She’s on the Robins.

  2. A time and a pitch for every match

Draftastic makes the groups and the knockout, and fits every match onto your pitches. Each player’s phone says who they play next, when, and on which pitch.

Under that is their team’s way to the final.

  3. The champions on the TV

Enter each score on your phone, and the tables, the bracket and the TV change at once. After the final, the TV fills with the winners’ colour, and their names appear.

How it’s set up

Questions tournament organisers ask

Can I enter the scores from my phone?
Yes. Open the Stage on your phone and press Enter score. Every table and screen updates straight away. Or, in Setup, switch on Players report scores. Both teams must agree, and you check any they don’t.
Can I set the pitches and the start time?
Yes. In Setup’s Play step, open More options. Say how many pitches you have, how long a match lasts and when the first one starts. You can name the pitches, too. Then every match has a time and a pitch.
What if a team doesn’t turn up?
On the Stage, open More and choose Withdraw a team. The matches they haven’t played count as 3–0 wins for the other teams. If they turn up after all, you can bring them back.
What happens when teams finish level?
In a group, a win gets 3 points and a level score gets 1. Teams on the same points are split by score difference, then total score, then the match between them. If that can’t split them, you choose the order, or let chance decide. In the knockout, a level score asks who went through.
Can the teams be random?
Yes. In Deal options on the Stage, choose Mix, and everyone is mixed at random. Only need teams, with no tournament? Paste the names into the team generator.
