How a lesson goes
Even teams in one go
Give each pupil a number from 1 to 5 for how confident they are. Only you see it. Deal shares the class out so every team adds up to about the same.
Two pupils who shouldn’t be together? Tell Deal to keep them apart.

Show them on the hall screen
Showtime puts up one name at a time, so every pupil watches for theirs. Or show all the teams at once and get going.

A sheet for the wall
Print the teams for the changing room door. Each team has its colour, its shape and its name, so the sheet still works in black and white.

Questions teachers ask
- Do pupils need phones or accounts?
- No. You can run the whole lesson from your laptop and the hall screen. If pupils have tablets, they can join with a code and their first name.
- What do you keep about pupils?
- Their first names, and the numbers you give them. Pupils never see the numbers. A school draft has no chat and no reactions.
- Can captains still pick?
- Yes. Turn on Nobody picked last. Captains pick until the last round, then Draftastic places the last pupils fairly, all at once. Nobody is left standing alone.
- Can I use the same class next lesson?
- Yes. Run it again, and the class is already there. Make new teams, or keep the same ones for the half term.
- I just need random teams now. Can I?
- Yes. The team generator makes random teams from a list in seconds, with nothing to set up.
