Run a league

Everyone plays everyone, and the table decides. Draftastic makes the matches and a timetable, and keeps the table as the scores come in.

  1. 1Choose League

In Setup’s Play step, choose League. Under Options, switch on Then a knockout, and the top 2, 4 or 8 play a knockout when the league ends.

  2. 2Say how many courts

Under More options, say how many courts you have, how long a match lasts and when you start. Every match gets a time and a court, and the card adds it up: 18 matches, about 1 hour 40 minutes on 3 courts.

  3. 3Enter each score

When a match ends, enter its score on the Stage or on your phone. Or let the players enter their own.

  4. 4Watch the table

The table on the TV changes with every score. Beside it is what’s on now on each court, and what’s next.

Good to know

  • A league where everyone plays everyone is also called a round robin.
  • Everyone plays twice is under More options, for up to 12 teams.
  • Above 10 teams, League starts as a shorter league: a few rounds, each against a team on about the same points.

How the table decides

A win is worth 3 points, a level match 1 and a loss 0. You can change the points under More options.

When teams are level on points, the table tries these in turn:

  1. 1Score difference: what a team scored, take away what it let in.
  2. 2Total score: everything a team scored.
  3. 3The match between them: the team that won it goes higher.

The table says which one did it, such as “Vipers above Pumas on score difference”. If nothing splits them, you decide, or toss a coin on the TV.
