Run a shorter league

A few rounds, not everyone. Each round, teams on about the same points play each other, so the matches are close.

  1. 1Choose a shorter league

    In Setup’s Play step, choose League. Under Options, choose Shorter league, and say how many rounds. With 8 teams, 4 rounds make 16 matches instead of 28, and every team plays 4.

  2. 2Make each round’s matches

    When a round ends, press Make round 3’s matches on the Stage. Draftastic makes them from the table. Teams on about the same points play each other, and they meet only once where they can. The TV shows who plays whom.

  3. 3Watch the table

    The TV shows the table, a page at a time when it’s long, and each score moves it. Beside it is what’s on now, board by board, and the latest results.

  4. 4Who you play next

    Each player’s phone shows their result and where their team stands. It names who they play next as soon as the next round is made.

Good to know

  • This way of playing is often called a Swiss system. In Draftastic it’s a shorter league.
  • Teams level on points are split by opponents’ points: the team that played stronger teams goes higher. Then leg difference, then legs scored.
  • With an odd number of teams, one team goes straight through each round and still gets the win. It’s the lowest team in the table that hasn’t gone straight through before.
