Run a cup over several nights
A knockout over several weeks, one round a night, with its bracket kept between nights. Or end a league with playoffs for the top teams.
1Make it a cup
In Setup’s Play step, choose Part of a season under More options, then New season. Choose Cup, and give it a name and a day. Draftastic works out the rounds from your teams: 4 rounds for 12 teams. 4 teams go straight to the quarter-finals.
2One round a night
Each week is one round of the cup, with its own night on the Stage, the TV and every phone. The TV opens on tonight’s round. When it ends, press Run it again, then Make the semi-finals. Everyone stays on their team.
3The bracket between nights
The cup has its own page, with the whole bracket: each round’s date and the results so far. Your host page shows the bracket too. After the final, Share the bracket sends a link to the cup’s page, with the bracket as its picture.
4Or end a league with playoffs
A league can end in a knockout too. In New season, choose League, say how many rounds, then choose Playoffs: Top 4. After the last round, press Make the playoffs. They’re one round a night, and the final decides the champions.
Good to know
- Seed the cup by the order of your teams, or at random. By order, the first 4 teams go straight through.
- Third place adds a match for third on the night of the final. Plate gives the teams out in Round 1 a knockout of their own.
- A cup’s next season keeps the same teams, seeded by how far they went.
